Explore communications programs (with a bit of english and literature mixed on) on this week’s episode of the YesCollege podcast!
Scott was able to chat with Katharine Larkin, adjunct faculty at Robert Morris University in the Pittsburgh area (Moon Township) of Pennsylvania.
Katharine has taught many classes over the years, but most recently public speaking, english literature, and persuasive writing. Communications is the kind of subject that any student could benefit from, because working with others is so crucial to many career paths.
Robert Morris University (RMU) is a private university with more than 80 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. A quickly growing university, RMU aims to combine academic excellence and professional readiness by providing students with experiential learning, internships, and networking opportunities. Students are encouraged to join any of the 100+ clubs and organizations on campus, and try out for any of the intramural sports teams.
The BA in Communication degree at RMU is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of all aspects of communication. This program also allows students to pursue concentrations in Advertising, Journalism, Corporate Communication, Theatre, or Public Relations. Students can take classes like Business Professional Communication, English Literature, and Interpersonal and Small Group Communication.
