It’s time to explore Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programs! This week, Scott was joined by Jason Oliver, who is an Associate Marketing Professor and the MBA program coordinator in the Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University.
Jay has a ton of experience both professionally and in education, having taught students at a number of institutions. His unique perspective as the MBA program coordinator gives him loads of insight into what students should know before enrolling. Listen in to get advice and a thorough overview of what it takes to get into an MBA program, and be successful!
Originally a junior college located in a YMCA, Roger Williams University now has two campuses with more than 45 undergraduate degrees and over 15 graduate degrees and certificates combined. The university embraces hands-on learning and teaching, and strives to give every student the opportunity to participate in real-world learning experiences. Students can also join any of the 90+ clubs, organizations, and academic honor societies that RWU has to offer.
The Mario J. Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University has a Business Administration (MBA 4+1) degree program that is designed for students with undergraduate business degrees from AACSB-accredited institutions. Students in this program are required to complete 36 credits, which partially consists of an internship, an international experience, and two electives.
We’ve created a brand new segment where we go out and discover AWESOME resources for current or prospective students. This isn’t sponsored, just awesome tools the YesCollege team thinks are worth sharing! It can be an app, a web site, an organization, or something completely different. Our resource this week is Apply.Me.
Apply.me provides a savvy, streamlined way for students to search and apply for a multitude of scholarships all at once. Finding scholarships the traditional way, through research and browsing the internet, can be time consuming and overwhelming. This app’s intuitive interface and automated matching service makes it easier than ever to find scholarships that are a perfect fit for you.
It only takes a few minutes to get started, and once you’ve registered or connected your Facebook profile, then the swiping can begin. The more detailed the profile, the better because Apply.me uses that information to find scholarships you can actually apply for based on birthdate, location, gender, major, and year of study. You only have to provide this information once, and the app will reuse that data to fill out every scholarship application. To keep that information safe, each application is sent through their high-end security screening.
With finding scholarships the traditional way, there’s always the chance of discovering an awesome scholarship only to see that it’s expired. Luckily Apply.me updates the scholarships regularly and sends a notification whenever there’s a new one that matches your criteria, so you’ll never miss an opportunity or see an expired scholarship.
Apply.me makes it easy to browse through and apply for scholarships no matter where you are, and it’s free to download on the App Store and Google Play.
We're the YesCollege team, and we're pretty nerdy when it comes to higher education. Between our awesome podcast, with REAL COLLEGE PROFESSORS, and our database of programs, our goal is to help prospective students make the absolute BEST choice for their degree.
